Guest Lecturer, Hofstra University 2022

Heather is a passionate music educator, active primarily in the Long Island community teaching private clarinet lessons. She has more than 15 years of teaching experience working with beginners through college students. In addition to maintaining a private studio, Heather is a Staten Island Philharmonic Teaching Artist and an Eastern Suffolk Boces Arts-In-Education Artist/Presenter, and has been invited as a guest lecturer at Hofstra University.

Heather’s approach to music education is tailored to meet each student’s needs. She believes building strong foundational skills must be met equally at all stages with expression and artistic enthusiasm, and she inspires students to challenge themselves, helping them to gain the confidence that comes with finding their own voice and making their own musical decisions.
